Since its formation, UKCMA has worked to support the development of professional standards across crowd management and event security. The Association has engaged with organisations including the British Standards Institution (BSI), the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and the Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS), and has contributed industry experience to discussions surrounding the regulation of the private security sector.
UKCMA members have also contributed to work concerning operational standards, training and guidance for organisations providing security and crowd management services at events, as well as advising government and industry bodies involved in the development of event-sector guidance.
These activities reflect UKCMA’s longstanding role in bringing practical industry experience into discussions about standards, regulation and professional practice.
